FORTNIGHTLY EUCHRE. There was a good attendance at the fortnightly euchre party and dance in the Tawhiti. hall on Wednesday night, 18 tables being engaged in play. The prizes were won by Mrs. McGlade 1, Miss b/ora Parker 2, Mr. Meed 1, Mr.

Eric Brown 2. Music for the dancing was played by the Elite Orchestra, with extras by. Mr. Piko Rangi. Messrs. T. Rum arid A. Tidswell were masters of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Espiner and Mr. Woodhead.

Not to Join Study Circle. There was an attendance of 18 ladies at the meeting held on Wednesday afternoon to discuss joining the study circles being started shortly in South Taranaki by Miss Macmillan, After the

matter, had been fully discussed it was decided not to join this year. After the meeting afternoon tea was served.

Hall Entrance Improved. Alterations and improvements to the entrance of the hall, costing £B, have recently been made. The boxthom hedge has been shifted back and, a large parking area metalled between the asphalt road and the front door,: obviating the inconvenience of walking up what was in wet weather a damp path.
