PURCHASE OF PAINTING
MISS HISZARD'S “FINISTERE.”

The New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts has purchased for the national collection “Finistere,” from the exhibition paintings of the late Miss Rhona Haszard, a New Zealand artist, now being held at Wellington. “Finistere” is a large oil depicting the coast of Brittany. The painting, which is very typical of Miss Haszard’s later work, was painted in 1923.
