SCHNEIDER SHIELD RUGBY
PROGRESS OF COMPETITION. There was fine weather for the opening of the second round in the Schneider Shield competition on Sunday, and there were good attendances at all the matches. All the games were closely contested and the two leading teams were lucky to come through undefeated. Following are the results: — Kaimata 6 v. Ratapiko 6. Egmont 13 v. Durham 6. Norfolk 6 v. Tarata-Purangi 0. All the matches for next week should be very evenly contested. The match of chief interest will be the meeting of Durham with Ratapiko.
Matches for June 25 are: Durham v. Ratapiko, at Ratapiko, Mr. R. Fussell; Kaimata v. Norfolk; at Norfolk, Mr. F. Julian; Egmont v. Tarata-Purangi, at Pukeho, Mr. Etu.
