Northants in the first innings made 246 (Wellard four wickets for 35) and in the second lost two wickets for 63. Northants won by eight wickets. Kent drew with Warwick: Kent in the first innings lost six wickets for 403 and declared (Valentine 164). Warwick in the first innings lost two wickets for 63. The match was drawn.
