JAGGERS WINS ON POINTS
MATCH AGAINST PRENDERGAST. THRILLING AMATEUR BOUT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. A middle-weight professional boxing contest between Twist Jaggers (Wellington) and Frank Prendergast (Invercargill) resulted in a win on points for Jaggers. It was not a good match, the contrast in styles and differences in height and weight militating against a good display. Jaggers took the ring at 10.8 and Prendergast at 10.3 J. A special amateur bout between J. Mansfield, Wellington champion, and Bill Pasco, Southland champion, resulted in a win for Mansfield on points after a thrilling bout packed with hard fighting.
