DISASTROUS FOREST FIRES
GREAT AREA SWEPT IN SIBERIA. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE TRAPPED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Tokio, May 26. Forest fires, fanned by strong _ winds, have been raging in the Saghalien district, Japanese Siberia, for three days. They are unabated and are sweeping immense areas, involving many villages. Hundreds have been trapped, surrounded by flames, and it is feared that there will be a heavy death roll.
