WAR DEBTS NEGOTIATIONS
AMERICA MAKES CONDITION. PAYYMENT OF DUES BY FRANCE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 6.30 p.m. Paris, May 27. M. Herriot in the Chamber of Deputies said President Roosevelt considered France’s payment of the last December instalment of war debt an essential condition to any future arrangement but was willing that the payment should be included in the final settlement. M. Herriot added that plans for a settlement were under consideration at Washington and London, but these did not concern France.
