CAR CRASHES INTO GULLY
. CASHMERE HILLS DRIVER HURT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, May 26. While driving his wife to a nursing home early this morning James Phillip Dowdle, a dairyman of Cashmere Hills, was seriously injured through his car going off the road and crashing into a gully. Visibility was bad at the time owing to fog. Mrs. Dowdle had a remarkable escape, and managed to assist her husband to the road, where a passing van picked them up. The car was wrecked.
