ATTACK ON REFERENDUM
FAILURE OF APPLICATION COURT REFUSES INJUNCTION THREE JUDGES UNANIMOUS INTIMATION OF AN APPEAL By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 8.50 p.m. Sydney, May 26. The Full Court to-day unanimously refused an application for an injunction with regard to the validity of the referendum on the reform of the Upper House. The Court will give its reasons next week. The application was heard by Justices Harvey, Longiimer and Davidson.
Mr. Loxton, K.C., intimated his intention of taking the case to the High Court of Australia. He asked th< Court to continue the interim injunction. Mr. Justice Harvey replied: “We do not think there is sufficient substance in your application to continue it.” He then announced: “The Court unanimously dismisses the application 'for an injunction. We will give our reason next week.”
