Mrs. L. Willis, Wellington, is spending a few days as the guest of Mrs. C. H. Marcroft. Miss E. Henry returned on Monday from Wellington, where she spent the school vacation. Mrs. Elliott, of Wellington, arrived on Thursday evening to spend a holiday with her daughter, Mrs. D. Thomas. Several car loads of residents visited New Plymouth this week to witness the pantomime “Cinderella.” The Plunket Ball held on Wednesday night: was an outstanding success, and the funds will benefit considerably. Great credit is due to the energetic president and secretary, Mrs. J. N. Stevenson and Mrs. H. J. Mantey and the committee, all being tireless workers. The members of the committee were: Mesdames J. N. Stephenson, Carey, J. D. Conaglen, W. R. Conaglen, Corkill, Marcroft, Edmonds, Downey, Laing, J. S. Hickey, Ritchie, Jenkin, R. Morris, Riley, L. Young, L. Chambers.
