STRANDED SETTLERS
BRITONS IN . AUSTRALIA. ONUS OF THEIR RELIEF. London, May 16. After an examination of the report on stranded British settlers in Australia, the Dominions Office considers that the onus of their relief rests with the Aus-, tralian Governments, and the British Government' representative in Australia, Mr. Critchley, will probably communicate these views to the Federal Government. No immediate British action is likely but the Government is closely interested in Australia’s intentions.
