The Totara, with 320 tons of coal from Westport, arrived at New Plymouth on Sunday. The vessel discharged yesterday and will return south this morning. (U.S.S. Co.) , . , The Hauturu from Onehunga is due at New Plymouth to-morrow, being scheduled to leave Onehunga at noon to-day. It is hoped to dispatch her on Thursday night for Wanganui. (Northern Co.) The Hawera arrived at New Plymouth on Saturday from Patea with a cargo of butter for transhipment to the Mahia. The Hawera unloaded yesterday and sailed for Patea. (South Taranaki Shipping Co.) The John, from Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui arrived at New Plymouth on Monday, and after being delayed by rain sailed last night for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.) The Holmglen will load at Dunedin today and is due at New Plymouth on May 9 via Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui. (U.S.S. Co.) The Kini, with 160 tons of coal, is due to leave Westport to-morrow, and, via Wellington, is due at New Plymouth at the end of the week. (U.S.S. Co.) The Opihi will load at Dunedin to-day and is due at New Plymouth on May 10, via Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson. (U.S.S. Co.) The Alexander is expected at New Plymouth from Golden Bay to-day. She has aboard 50 tons of cement. She will be dispatched later for Onehunga. (Cock and Co.) MOVEMENTS OF OVERSEAS SHIPS. MAHIA ARRIVES DIRECT. The Mahia reached New Plymouth on Monday morning from the Tyne to commence homeward loading. She will take 5000 freight carcases of meat, 9000 crates of cheese and 2700 boxes of butter at New Plymouth and loads later at Wellington, Gisborne and Auckland, being scheduled to clear Auckland on May 15 for London, via Cape Horn, Montevideo and Teneriffe. The Mahia will sail for Auckland to-night. PORT NICHOLSON FROM AUSTRALIA The steamer Port Nicholson is due at New Plymouth on Saturday from Port Kembla, Australia, which she left yesterday. She is to load for London and west coast ports. Her other New Zealand ports are Wanganui, Wellington, Lyttelton and Auckland, and the vessel will sail from Auckland on May 23. An alteration has been made in the steamer’s cargo, and she will now take 30,000 freight carcases of meat. ; CUMBERLAND DUE AT OPUAThe Cumberland, in ballast from London, is due at Opua on May 15 to commence loading. She will complete at Wellington, being due at New Plymouth Auckland, New Plymouth, Wanganui and and 4900 crates of cheese. THE HAURAKI. The Hauraki, which left Vancouver on April 10 and Los Angeles on April 25 with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia, is due at Auckland on May 18 and at New Plymouth on May 21. THE NORFOLK. / The Norfolk was to have left Bluff yesterday for Port Chalmers, Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland in continuance of her loading. She is due at New Plymouth on May 11 to take in 25,000 freight carcases of meat, 5910 crates of cheese and 3550 boxes of butter, and will clear Auckland on May 13 for west cost of United Kingdom ports, via Cape Hom and Dakar.
