MAHIA ARRIVES DIRECT. The Mahia reached New Plymouth on Monday morning from the Tyne to commence homeward loading. She will take 5000 freight carcases of meat, 9000 crates of cheese and 2700 boxes of butter at New Plymouth and loads later at Wellington, Gisborne and Auckland, being scheduled to clear Auckland on May 15 for London, via Cape Horn, Montevideo and Teneriffe. The Mahia will sail for Auckland to-night. PORT NICHOLSON FROM AUSTRALIA The steamer Port Nicholson is due at New Plymouth on Saturday from Port Kembla, Australia, which she left yesterday. She is to load for London and west coast ports. Her other New Zealand ports are Wanganui, Wellington, Lyttelton and Auckland, and the vessel will sail from Auckland on May 23. An alteration has been made in the steamer’s cargo, and she will now take 30,000 freight carcases of meat. ; CUMBERLAND DUE AT OPUAThe Cumberland, in ballast from London, is due at Opua on May 15 to commence loading.
