TESTING OF DAIRY CATTLE

SOUTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATIONS. The 5355 cows tested .by the South Taranaki Herd Testing Association m April averaged 5521 b. of milk and 27.561 b. of butter-fat. compared with' 6311 b. of milk and 30.721 b. of butter-fat averaged by 5482 cows in the March period. The highest herd average was 6311 b. of milk and 36.691 b. of butter-fat returned by 59 cows. Detailed returns are:— Group Averages.
