Of a total of £21,224 2s 7d general, hospital, harbour and. special rates levied by the Taranaki County Council for 1932-33 a total of £17,916 Ils Id had been paid, leaving outstanding £3307 Ils 6d, or about .16 per cent., reported the clerk (Mr. R. Ellis) at yesterday’s meeting of the council. The general rates levied totalled £9925 10s 3d, of which £B5Bl 12s lOd had been paid and £1343 17s 5d was outstanding. The positon of the ridings was: Mangorei, levied £lBl2 11s 9d, collected £1528 7s Bd, outstanding £284 4s Id; Waitara riding, £3BBl 3s sd, £3354 10s 9d, £526 12s 8d; Omata riding £1126 15s lOd, £lOO9 4s 4d, £ll7 Hs 6d; Okato riding £3104 19s 3d, £2689 10s Id, £415 9s 2d. The hospital rates levied totalled £3879 15s lid, of which there had been collected £3252 18s 7d, leaving outstanding £626 17s 4d.
