TE KUITI RACE MEETING. AN ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME. The attention of all owners and trainers is drawn to the programme of the Te Kuiti Racing Club’s annual meeting, which is to be held on Te Rapa racecourse on May 20 and 22. The programme is a particularly attractive one, the principal event, the King Country Steeplechase, carrying a stake of £2OO, while the main flat event, the President’s Handicap, is worth £175. Other events the first day are the Te Kuiti Hurdles (£150), the Stewards’ Handicap. (£150), the Otorohanga and Rangitoto hack events (each £100), the Hack Hurdles (£100) and the Maiden Race (£75). On the second day the Kawhia Steeples (£175) and the Waitomo Handicap (£150) are the principal races. This gathering will afford trainers a very convenient stop on the way to the big Ellerslie gathering and is sure to be well patronised. Nominations for' all events will close with Mr. E. H. O’Meara, secretary of the Waikato Racing Club, Hamilton, at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 8.
