SUCCESSFUL FUNCTIONS HELD. The Queen Carnival campaign organised bv the Central Hor-e and School Association, New Plymouth, is now m Ml swing and the efforts of the various committees are meeting with gratifying disconnection with the Blue Queen a most successful card evening took place on Thursday, when flag bridge and 500 U Am-nlaved. The winners were Mrs. Srner and the Misses Mitchelhill (bridge)" and Mr- add Mrs. Grant and Mrs Toll and Mr. Holder (500). The'committees of the Red and Green candidates are organising a 500 evening .gymnasitim was filled almost' to capacity on Saturday night for the dance organised .by the White Queen commitThe function went with a swing fwrn start to . finish and all'thoroughly entoUd themselves.'
