GOOD BREEDING EWES WANTED. At' the Fordell • sale held on Thursday a mixed yarding of sheep, well over the advertised numbers, forward for auction, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., ■ Ltd., > reports. There was a fairly heavy yarding of fat lambs, which met with ‘ very indifferent competition, but breeding ewes of - quality sold well up to recent values. Two-tooth ewes of quality, met with fair demand, but the smaller class were not sought after. Fat'wethers and fat ewes met with ready sale up to recent market rates. The range of prices vzas:—Four and five-year ewes (from Raetihi) Bs. 3d. ' (medium sheep), syr. ewes 6s. Id.; cull ss. Bd., four and sixtooth ewes' 10s. Bd. to Us., fat lambs 10s.
