STATE OF EMERGENCY
AUSTRIAN GARRISON’S READINESS. SUSPENSION OF CHANCELLOR. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 11.30 p.m. Vienna, March 10. Confusion reigns and the entire garrison has been ordered to stand to in readiness for emergencies. Parliament has suspended the Chancellor, Dr. E. Dollfuss, and has issued decrees for a state of emergency under which parades and mass meetings are forbidden and the freedom of the Press is restricted. The decrees are directed against the Nazis. It is estimated that German Hitlerites have already sent nearly 2000 professional propagandists into Austria.
