CONVERSION OF MOTOR-CAR
ONE MAN SENT TO PRISON.
ANOTHER’S LICENSE CANCELLED.

In the Police Court to-day Michael Coory and John George pleaded guilty to the unlawful conversion of a motorcar.
The suspicion of a constable was aroused when he saw Coory go to look in the tank with a lighted match. The police stated that this class of offence was very prevalent in Dunedin. Six cars were stolen during February.
Coory was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment and George’s probation license was cancelled and the magistrate, Mr. H. W. Bundle, ordered his return to the Borstal Institute.
