The Awakino Collie Club during the 27 years of its existence has built up- a well-deserved reputation for its annual trials, which are regarded by competitors as second to none. A splendid programme of four events has been arranged, including head, bring back and hold in ring, head, drive and yard, huntaway and two-dog event. The first three events carry with them a special silver cup and the association’s gold medal, each to be won outright, whilst there is also a total of about £5O prize money as well as fourteeen other trophies to be competed for. Mr. S. Voyce will be judge and the expert officials will fill the responsible positions. Entries close with the secretary, Mr. Fraser Smith, on Monday, March 13, and the trials will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the same week.
