RACING DISQUALIFICATIONS

GRAY AND OTHERS APPEAL. INCIDENT AT DARGAVILLE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The hearing of appeals in connection, with the Dargaville disqualification case was commenced by three appeal judges appointed by the president of the . NewZealand Racing Conference. The judges are Sir Walter Stringer, ex-judge of the Supreme Court, Mr. C. W. Tringham, barrister, Wellington, vice-president of the Wellington Racing Club, and Mr. H. F. O’Leary, barrister, Wellington. The appellants are Hector Gray, Takanini, and C. R. Powell, Whangarei, who were disqualified for life, R. A. Powell, Dargaville, who was disqualified for three years, and Mrs. M. W. Powell, Whangarei, wife of C. R. Powell, who is appealing in respect of her horses. The hearing is unfinished.
