Women among thousands of citizens in the streets broke down when 15 black draped horse-drawn wagons escorted by firemen with lighted torches conveyed the 56 coffins of the gas-meter explosion victims to the cemetery to the presence of Herr von Papen, Vice-Chan-cellor. : • High officials of the Lutheran Church and a Catholic Bishop officiated at the service at the public hall, and the aer--; vice was broadcast throughout the country. Thousands attended a ten minuter silence throughout the Saar Valley. The.bodies were interred in two large graves ■ in the Protestant and Catholic sections of the cemetery. ; . j There are still nine missing and 151 Injured. \ \
