NORTH TO WEST WINDS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cloudy to overcast fairly generally. It will be mainly fair in eastern districts but rain will develop on high levels in western districts and in the far south. Temperatures will be mild. A slight anti-cyclone is centred north of East Cape, while a moderate westerly depression is crossing the south Tasman Sea. Moderate to strong and increasing north to north-west winds are probable, backing later to west or south-west in western and southern portions of the South Island. Seas will be rather rough on the west coast and about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere moderate. SHIPPING MOVEMENTS.
