GAS PRESSURE CONTINUES
NO. 3 OIL BORE AT MOTUROA. DEVELOPMENTS BEING AWAITED. The pressure of gas which caused the blow-out at Moturoa Oilfields Ltd's No. 3 bore was maintained throughout yesterday as high as when it commenced. In the case of No. 2 well oil commenced to flow two days after the outburst of gas, and developments in the No. 3 bore are now being awaited.’ When the control head was opened yesterday morning a large quantity of mud and drilling debris was thrown from the well, and this occurred whenever the well was opened after having been closed for a period. The gas was led off to the two large boilers and used as heating fuel, but there is far more than can possibly be used. Preparations were made yesterday to glean out the well.
