SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENTS.’ Results of the competitions at the Inglewood bowling green so far are:—A grade singles: E. Maetzig, 4 wins, 1 loss; F. Spurdie, 7, .1; S. McLaggan, 6, 1. B grade singles: A.. Codd, 3 wins, 1 loss; I. Bublitz, 4, 1. The Moa Dairy Company’s, payment for February 20 is on 312,0611 b of butter-fat at 8d per lb ,the total cash being £10,401. Six tables were, engaged at the; Catholic euchre party in the bandroom on Tuesday. The prizewinners were Mrs. Mischewski 1; Mrs. N. Peters 2, Mrs. Hewson consolation; Mr. Coyne 1, Mr. W. Spurdie 2, Mrs. Coyne (playing as a man) consolation. . ; ■ •’ • ' The Hawera and Inglewood water polo teams have met twice this, year and both games, one at Inglewood and one at Hawera, have been drawn. At .the. Inglewood carnival next week the two teams will again meet to decide the finalists of the southern division. Mr. C. A. Crossman has been elected to the committee of the Inglewood Swimming Club .in place of Mr. D. H. Gow, who has left Inglewood. The Inglewood branch of the Labour Party commenced a new series of euchre parties in the Druids’ Hall on Thursday night. The winners were Mrs. J. Schrider (pair of bath towels) 1, Mrs. Judson (pair of tea towels) 2, Mrs. Campbell consolation; Miss Hewson (playing as a man) (shirt) 1, Mr. F. Scott (sachet of handkerchiefs) 2, Mrs. Crozier (playing as a man) consolation. R. Winter, Inglewood’s representative in the big swimming race at New Plymouth this afternoon, is on the five-min-ute mark and if he lives up to his recent performances he may be in the van at tire end of the race. ■
