FRANKLEIGH PARK SHOW

PROMISING CHRYSANTHEMUMS. The Frankleigh Park Horticultural Society last night arranged the schedule for the chrysanthemum show on April 21 and 22. The meeting expressed sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. J. H. Frethey, a keen worker in connection with the society. A letter v/as received from the ’ Normanby Horticultural Society inviting Frankleigh Park representatives to be present at the jubilee show. Mr. Newton Allen and Mr. A. E. Pavis (chairman and secretary) were appointed to represent Frankleigh Park. Mr. L. Williams was elected a member of the executive.

The chrysanthemum plants this year were showing great promise, it was reported, and good blooms should be available for the show. Three new classes were added to the schedule, open to any-, body whether amateur or professional. Prizes of special value were offered.
