SIR ALAN COBHAM’S PROPOSALS. MACHINE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. British Wireless. Rngby, Feb. 11. Sir Alan Cobham and SquadronLeader Helmore, of the Royal Air Force, are making plans for a long non-stop flight, possibly to Australia, 'with an aeroplane which will be refuelled in the air during the journey. The machine is now under construction at the works of Airspeed. Ltd., of which firm Sir Alan is a director. Squadron-Leader Helmore has been engaged for some years on fuel research at the Royal Air Craft establishment. Neither the destination nor the date of the flight has • been settled.
