WEATHER MAINLY FINE

UNSETTLED CONDITIONS . LATER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be mainly fair to fine with rising temperatures, but there will still be some scattered showers in districts with a westerly aspect, especially on the high levels. Later a renewal of unsettled conditions is probable, with rain in the western districts south of Kawhia and in the far south. The recent depression is now passing away eastwards and a slight anti-cyclone is crossing to the north of the Tasman Sea. A new and deep depression is already advancing across the south Tasman. Moderate to strong south-west to westerly winds are probable, veering gradually to the north-west and .freshening later in and south of Cook Strait. Seas will still be rather rough to rough, moderating on the east coast. A heavy but decreasing south-westerly swell is probable on the west coast.
