MOTOR-CYCLE RACE MEETING
DECISION TO HOLD TRACK SPORTS. NORTH TARANAWI CLUB MEETING. A meeting of the North Taranaki Motor-Cycle Club at which members of the Stratford Motor Sports Club were present last night decided to hold a race meeting at the New Plymouth aerodrome on March 11. Mr. R. Doeg presided over an attendance of 15. A half-mile course could be made available, it was stated. Six races, a novice race of. four laps, an open race of eight laps, two open races of six laps, a lap record race and a consolation race of five laps were decided upon. Details of the arrangement of the programme were decided on and a sub-com-mittee was appointed to negotiate with the New Plymouth Aero Club and complete further arrangements for the .meeting. Novices were classed as non-profes-s:onal riders who had not won a flat race at New Plymouth or Stratford club competitions. 1 Mr. K. Ward was elected to fill the position on the North Taranaki club executive rendered vacant by his resignation from the position of secretary.
