ARGENTINE BEEF FUTURE
PRINCE GREETS TRADE MISSION. INCREASING MARKET FOR BRITAIN By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Feb. 10. The Prince of Wales, at the Argentine dinner, speaking partly in Spanish, welcomed the republic’s trade mission. He said Argentina’s future lay in the question of beef. The future of beef might be entirely dependent on the British market, which Argentina required, while Britain wanted security for investments and an increasing market for goods. The Prince of Wales denied that Britain ignored Argentina’s interests at Ottawa. The Ottawa agreements did not preclude negotiations with other countries. Argentina was one of the first countries with which Britain desired to negotiate. TOUR OF ARGENTINE MISSION. ENTERTAINMENT OF MEMBERS. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Feb. 10. Members of the Argentine mission today made a tour of the port of London, cruising in a motor launch through some of the main docks and up the Thames. They were entertained at luncheon at the Mansion House by the Lord Mayor. A reception at the Argentine embassy was held in the evening and members of the mission later dined with the Argentine Club.
