SOUTHERN CROSS TOUR ALTERED.
OVERHAUL AT CHRISTCHURCH.
’ By Telegraph.—Preu Association. Auckland, Last Night. An alteration in the itinerary of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith’s New Zealand tour to enable him to take a week’s rest is announced. In the course of the South Island visit the Southern Cross will arrive at, Christchurch on February 11 and will be there until the following Monday, when it was planned to visit Timaru. At this stage, however, Sir Charles will defer all his visits for a week, arriving at Timaru on February 20, instead of February 13. Sir Charles will take a week’s holiday : and will leave the Southern , Cross 5 at Christchurch to be thoroughly overhauled and prepared for the return trip. .All the towns in the original itinerary will be visited. U Sir Charles pians to commence the return flight from Ninety Mile Beach to. Australia between March 8 and 11.
