WAITOITOI CRICKETERS BEATEN.
PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS.
A game of . cricket was played on Saturday at . the Uruti Domain between Waitoitoi and Uruti. The visitors, batting first, made a total of 18 in the first innings. Skuse and Hancock- took most of the. wickets for Uruti. Uruti totalled 45. Donald. Scott was the most successful bowler ;for Waitoitoi. Waitoitoi in the second innings made 36, leaving Uruti with nine runs in their second innings to win. Tonkins and H. Musker secured the necessary runs. Mr. Donald Scott, on behalf of the visiting team, thanked the ladies for providing afternoon tea, and' the local team for the enjoyable game.
Mrs. J. Bell has returned from Hawera. -■
Mrs. Bremner, who has been the guest of Mrs. R. W. MacGregor, has returned home.
Miss Ferna Phillips arid Miss Baker, Waitoitoi, have returned home after spending their holidays with Mrs. P. W. Thomson.
Miss C. Wallace, New Plymouth, has been the guest of Mrs. S. Reid.
