SULTRY, HUMID WEATHER
GENERAL RAIN. EXPECTED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather is expected to be dull, sultry and humid, with fairly general rain and a tendency for thunderstorms in-places. Moderate to strong northerly winds backing to southerly to-night .in the far south, and southerlies extending over the Dominion within the next 24 to 36 hours are expected. Seas in New Zealand waters will be rough in the Cook Strait area but elsewhere moderate to rather rough. In the eastern Tasman Sea moderate to strong northerly winds, backing later to southerly, and rough seas ard expected. An irregular depression still covers New Zealand and the eastern Tasman Sea but the pressure has risen considerably in south-eastern Australia.
