STORM AND FOG DELAY SHIPS
SOUTHAMPTON DISORGANISED. MALOJA DAY LATE AT GIBRALTAR. British Wireless. Rugby, Jan. 18. A fog in the Channel disorganised Southampton shipping and the departyre of the Berengaria for New York was delayed, while the incoming Aquitania and other’vessels were held up off the Isle of Wight. . A Gibraltar message states that the Maloja was delayed 24 hours by easterly gales. Passengers disembarking were drenched, and none was able to embark. Three lighters carrying luggage and cargo broke adrift and two ran aground.
