CHIEF STIPENDIARY STEWARD
FORMER HAWERA MAN APPOINTED.
Mr Charles Gomer, who for the past six years has been chief stipendiary stewart for the western districts clubs under the jurisdiction of. the Victorian Racing Club, was last night appointed chairman of the stipendiary stewards for New Zealand by the Racing Conference executive. Mr. Gomer formerly resided at Hawera.
