CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN PARIS.
NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATION.

The authorities controlling all important services at lighthouses along the sea coasts Of the world, are to have a conference at Paris in July riext. Representatives of all nations will attend, New Zealand has been asked to send a delegate to the conference but Trinity House, London, is being advised by the High Commissioner that it is not possible to detail an officer in the Dominion to attend. . . i _ The Minister of Marine (Hon. J. G. Cdbbe) stated to-day that arrangements were being made, however, for Mr. Donald J. Harvey, the New Zealand Government’s consulting engineer in London; to represent the Dominion at the confer-, ence and to- submit reports for the consideration of the Government.
