BRITISH INDUSTRY’S ADVANCE
ADAPTABILITY IN FACE OF TIMES.
COUNTRY HOLDS TRADE POSITION.
(British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Jan. 13.
The adaptability of British industries in the fact of changing circumstances is largely responsible for the fact that during the difficult conditions of the past year Britain maintained her trade position.
The several directions in which relatively new industries developed is revealed in the exhibits of 2000 representative manufacturers whose products will be displayed at next month’s British industries fair at London and Birmingham. Notable examples of rapid expansion which the fair will demonstrate are in connection with fruit and vege-table-canning, can-making and in the leather goods trades.
