Rec. 10 p.m. Baltimore, Jan. 2. In an open letter to the Presidentelect (Mr. F. D. Roosevelt) 20 of the United States’ outstanding economists advocate a reciprocal lowering of tariffs, the prompt settlement of inter-Allied debts and the maintenance of the gold standard as the “minimum programme for economic recovery.”
