JAPANESE BUY AT SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10.35 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 3. At the wool sales 11,508 bales were offered, 11,117 bales being sold and 615 disposed of privately. The market opened with'keen general competition, Japanese buyers dominating the bidding. Prices compared with December closing rates showed an all round advance of 5 per cent. Greasy Merino made to 15Jd.
