A cable received on Saturday stated that American film distributing companies demanded that their terms for the supply of films in 1933 be accepted in full. The. Australian threatre-owners _ made a determined .stand .against. these j demands, and in particular against the system of “block booking,” which requir- . ed that the year’s output of films should be bought as a unit without any right of rejection. The exhibitors declared that many undesirable films were being forced on them. Neither side would way. - . ?
