NEW PRISON REGULATIONS

Greater freedom for inmates of Canadian , penitentiaries is provided in the new prison;-regulations; which become effective .on Sunday. There will be more latitude in; -conversation/ the installation of electric light iii cells and dormitories for reading, and ; the close cropping of hair - on-incarceration is to be followed by military or short haircuts. Greater use of tobacco, including ap allowance of cigarette papers, is also stipulated.
