THEFT OF MONEY ALLEGED
GREYMOUTH MAN FOR TRIAL. J FURTHER CHARGE OF FRAUD. By Telegraph.-—Press Association. Greymouth, December 22. William Alfred Sandman, aged 37, was committed for sentence this morning for the theft of £398 13s. 3d., the property of the Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life Society, by whom he was employed as canvasser, also on a charge of fraudulently altering a bank lodgement slip for £2 Is. sd. to £52 Is. sd. Bail was allowed, Sandman to report to the police weekly.
