THE UNRULY SNOWFLAKES. (By Constance Egan.—Copyright.) Snow Mother, way up above the clouds, was like the Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe. She had so many children she did hot know what to do. Her children were, of course, the *’ snowflakes, and snowflakes are most unruly.
They go tumbling , out of . the clouds and spreading themselves all over the country, when people are expecting spring flowers and sunshine. Then they go and snuggle into their comfy cloud ‘ beds and stay there in mid-winter; when' the children are just longing to'see thesnowflakes tumbling down. ..s ■ •
Now, Snow Mother knew very well that Christmas was the time children loved her snow babies best. So just before Christmas she gathered her snowflakes together, millions, and millions, and millions of them, and she said:
