Governor-General for award to the ex-student of ' Lincoln College who is considered to have rendered the '/ greatest service to the agricultural com* vmunity, has been awarded this year to V Mr. George Rennie, of Taupiri, Waikato. ' In 1916 Mr. Rennie, who had been the first agricultural instructor employed by the Canterbury Education Board and was later a member of the board of - governors of Lincoln College and Can- : terbury College, went to Taupiri in 1916. >’' Taking up a block of 500 acres He re* duced it from a rough state to fine pis- ‘ titre.
