FAIR TO CLOUDY WEATHER
RAIN IN THE NORTH LATER. By Telesraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be mainly fair to cloudy, but some scattered showers are probable in eastern districts, especially between Kaikoura and'.East Cape. Later rain will develop in northern districts. An anti-cyclone has moved ontd New Zealand with its centre over the southern portion. Pressure is low over the greater part of Australia and there are indications of a cyclone having developed over the western portion of the Tasman sea. Moderate southerly to south-easter-ly winds are probable backing shortly to easterly and becoming strong in places. Seas will be rather rough north of Castlepoint and about Cook Strait and elsewhere moderate.
