Replying to the latest British Note, the Persian Government., considers the Hague Court not competent to examine the oil concession dispute and -reiterates that cancellation of the D’Arcy concessions is justified. The reply threatens to bring to the notice of the League of Nations the alleged threats of pressure by the British Government, which is encouraging the oil company to resist payment of royalties and income tax. OIL PRODUCTION RESTRICTED. AGREEMENT REACHED AT PARIS Rec. 10.30 p.m. Paris, Dec. 14. British, Dutch, American and Roumanian oil .interests have reached an agreement on measures necessary to balance the production of oil with the demand. Roumania has agreed to limit production of 18,500 tons daily for three months from January 1.
