JUNIOR RED CROSS CIRCLE

CONCERT AT MOTUROA SCHOOL. A successful concert was given at the Moturoa school, New Plymouth, yesterday by the members of the Junior Red Cross Circle, and, as a result, the funds of Toe H will benefit by £2. The varied programme was thoroughly enjoyed by the many parents and pupils who attended. The programme was arranged by- the children of the Junior Red Cross Circle, and the president (Marjorie Connett) thanked those present, for their support and extended an invitation to them to attend the Christmas tree function at the school to-day.

The programme was:—“Up..the River,” school orchestra; folk dance, Standards 1 and 2 pupils; recitation,' Beulah Hunter; songs by the senior choir;. play, Standards 1 and 2 pupils; drill, Standards 5 and 6; songs, Standards and 2; folk dance, Standards 4, 5 and 6; recitation, Alma Williamson; play, Wanted, a General Servant,” senior girls. Several numbers were played by the orchestra. A competition for' a box of sweets donated by Sister Corkill was won by M. Fraser.
