STUNNED BY INTRUDER
EKETAHUNA GROCER INJURED. ASSAILANT ESCAPES IN MOTOR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. Upon entering Yates’ grocery store at Eketahuna to-night about 8.30 p.m. the manager, Charles William McLaughlan, was struck a heavy blow on the head by an intruder and rendered unconscious. The intruder made his escape and is reported to have sped away in a motor-car waiting outside the shop. Mr. McLaughlan was attended by a doctor and taken to his home. His injuries are not serious. No stock was taken. .
