CONCERT TOUR CONTRACT
MANAGER AWARDED DAMAGES. AUCKLAND SUIT AGANST SINGER. By Telegraph—Press Assn; —Copyright. Rec. 11.20 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 14. Damages were. awarded Donald ' Dhu O’Connor, Auckland, in his suit in the Supreme Court against John Brownlee, operatic singer, to recover £514 12s. for alleged breach of contract. O’Connor claimed that this amount covered his engagement as Brownlee’s manager for a concert tour of Australia and New Zealand and money outstanding. Brownlee denied the contract and the breach, and alleged that O’Connor failed to state the proper accounts. The jury found for plaintiff and awarded £174 12s. damages. ' ’. •
