A well-dressed unknown German arms’ ed with a revolver and a bowie knife was to-day discovered in the cellar of the ex-Kaiser’s residence at Doorn. It is ■' believed he intended assassination. He was overpowered after vigorous resist- ' ance. He refuses to make a statement. The police are reticent. Servants recognised the intruder as a man seen loitering in the village for the past few days. Apparently he climbed the castle wall and hid in the tower.
